Well, AE, we're down to nine eggs still missing. On Thursday, Mom found one and I found two. The one Mom found was found by an animal. It had teeth marks and it's contents had been chewed on. The egg only contained a strawberry chew and the animal tried it but, apparently, didn't like it.

I just took down all my Easter decorations and my house looks naked.

Well, I'm bummed the holiday is over. I just love Easter....the meaning, colors and CANDY!!! I went to a local grocery store, today, to buy some discounted peeps!

Yeah and we had to wear those gawd awful shoes with them too! I wanted to go barefoot to church but she wouldn't let me.

Yeah AE, and I use to love to paint the eggs with crosses and flowers after we colored them too.

I also forgot, mom made sure that each of us girls had a brand new Easter dress that she spent weeks on making just for us.

Coloring Easter eggs the night before then getting up early and finding them. After that going to church and then all the brothers and sisters and their families coming over for a humongous homemade supper that mom fixed up. Mom always made it perfect. ( your going to make me tear up)

My favorite Easter memory is the beautiful Easter basket my mother made up for us kids. I still have my basket around here somewhere. Funny thing is it seemed so much bigger when I was a kid, ha! We would also hunt eggs, and everyone would gather at my parents house for dinner. When I got older, I would hide the eggs for the nephew's and nieces and we'd still gather at mom's house (father had since died). My special Easter memory would be waking up on Easter and having an Easter egg hunt around the house (the inside of the house) with my brother. Then around lunchtime, we would drive to my grandparents' house (barely 3 minutes away) and have a huge get-together with the whole family.
