On the Carol Burnett show it was the skit where he's the suave, sophisticated English gentleman who has lost his memory and answeres the banana instead of the phone. How he did that with a straight face I'll never know.

Probably my fav was Mother Markus. He looked so hilarious since he was so tall and those boosums... Too funny. I also liked when Carol and Harvey played
Funt and Mundane(?spelling) the two theatre actors. He also did a excellant imitation of Robert Shaw when they did the spoof of Jaws. There are so many but
those are a few of my favs.

Oh I loved Funt and Mundane! The way he would bow but not bow to the audience, to funny. And I totally agree about Mother Markus, he played it to the hilt.

I liked the one where Tim Conway is a dry cleaner and he gets caught up in the swinging clothes thingy and Harvey couldn't quit laughing.
Chilling!!

Speaking of Harvey laughing, I think the dentist chair was probably the funniest one where Harvey couldn't keep from laughing. Course neither could I, ha!

who misses dear Harvey terribly.
There is a partial skit on the Show Stoppers DVD where Tim and Harvey are soldiers and Tim's character is reprimanding Harvey's for screwing something up. As an introduction to the skit, Carol says that the show was run twice, once on-script, and the second run was for Tim and no one knew what he was going to do. Well, the soldier skit was the second taping because Tim broke into this half Mr. Tudball, half Italian something-or-other accent that left Harvey practically in tears because he had never heard it before. It's hysterical. And I can watch that Dentist skit hundreds of times on YouTube and NEVER get tired of it. |

Hi Kayakgirl. Welcome aboard. I think the funniest spots were the ones with Tim and Harvey breaking up in the middle of their own skits. ehehe

Sparklylight, I know just the skit you're talking about! Harvey is literally bent over in convulsions of laughter. That skit is floating around YouTube as
Tim Conway "Pops" or something like that.
There's also a blooper that is paired with some kind of practical joke (that show Dick Clark did with Ed McMahon in the '80s). It's Carol's Mary Worthless character. Harvey and Vickie start out as this happily married couple, until Carol pretends to be a maid and 'helps' them out, and they end up fighting. Harvey's waiting for the doorbell to ring, it doesn't, and it all goes downhill from there. He doesn't stop giggling throughout the entire skit, even with a cake in his face, and what could go wrong, does. And of course the audience is howling. It ends with Carol trying desperately to say her closing lines as Mary without cracking up, and if you listen carefully you can clearly hear Harvey screaming with laughter offstage. It is totally priceless. I highly recommend trying to locate it on YouTube. LOVE this show. What a team they were! |

Hey there kayakgirl, welcome! I remember that skit and can still hear Harvery losing it in the background. Nothing went right in that whole skit and from the beginning all the cast members struggled to keep it together. That was to much fun!

Hey there yosimtesam.survivorsucks and welcome! Yeah I'm afraid there's still no complete set and it doesn't look like there will
be for a while I guess.
BTW, just so you know, I am not Carol Burnett and she has no connection with this message board or my website.

Some fantastic interviews of Tim and Harvey, and the two of them separate, are also on Youtube. They're with the Archive of American Television, and I
think they're from 2005.
Ok, I need to get a life now....hehehehehe |
