Infomercial Billy Mays dies at age 50. That's the 4th one to die in less than 2 weeks.

Just told my son. He really liked the show 'Pitchmen' (man?) and I used to get a chuckle out of Billy Mays' commercials.
I read that he had been on a plane that nose dived (not really crashed) and it makes me wonder if that shook him enough to stress his heart. (It would mine.) I guess as we get older, so do they, and we all begin to leave this earth. ~ blue crystal glows, the dark side unseen, sparkles in scant light, from sun to planet, to me in between ~ |

You probably know him best for the OxyClean commercials..he was the guy who resembled Al from Tim Allen's TV show, Tim the Tool Man Taylor. Kind of
heavy-set, dark beard..always spoke with a loud voice on the infomercials so the consumer would think that the product was all that and such.
I had heard about the airplane issue too El, guess his wife was the one who found him this morning. We had a death here today as well, but not a star. Almost every weekend around here there is some sort of a youth rodeo for kids who are interested in that sort of thing to compete in. Today there was one sponsored up in Longmont by the Elks Lodge that my aunt was actually planning on going to since it is in her neighborhood and she likes to support children since she was a teacher for over 20 years. Apparently a 12 year old youth from Yuma was participating in the bull riding event, yes you read correctly, and was wearing a helmet and vest as they are required to for the event when the thing you dread most at these sports happened. The young man was bucked off of the bull and got stepped on by the animal in the stomach, was conscious when they transported him to the hospital but died shortly afterwards. He according to his parents loved the rodeo and had been involved in it for the last six years, including a team roping event with his younger brother. My heart goes out to all the families who have lost their loved ones these past couple of weeks and also to the friends and fans of all affected too. It is true it is a part of life but sometimes you wonder "Why this person at this point of their life, or just WHY??"

Oh yeah, I remember that guy. Drove me crazy! But I am sorry he's gone and especially for his family dealing with the shock of it.
That is so sad LSW!
