How is everyone doing? It looks to be fairly quiet in here but I wanted to stop by and let you guys know what I have been up too.... so here goes!
The kid is back in school and it's hot!! ewww It started out cool and rainy but I think August has finally kicked in to full gear hot and muggy. So
the boy went back to school this past Thursday. He has got every class he wanted and some nice teachers ( so far..lol ) Let's see Biology, World
History, PE/Heatlh, Honors AlgerbaII, Honors English II, Art II, and Spanish II. He is also interested in joining some clubs... looks like a busy school
year. On top of all this he is enrolled in the Upward bound program. Which means he has to go to Northern Kentucky University one Saturday a month and like
1-2 weeks durning the summer for the next three years. They will help him apply for scholorships, help with SAT's, Act's and doing this program will
give him 6 college credits. We go for the inital introduction at the end of the month.... so keep your fingers crossed that I can keep up with all this..lol
As for me... well I am doing well and still on a bit of a health kick. Although with my recent vacation it kinda got put on hold but I am getting back into my
routine. I blame my other half for the lack of exercise motivation all though we did visit the Horse Park, one of the state parks, Newport Aquarium, went to
Downtown Cincy for dinner and carriage ride and then some just general driving around to see the state. So anywho all is good here..... oh I got a new car,
so I don't have the convertable anymore but my new car is better on gas, insurance, and my feet don't get wet anymore..lol So that is where I am
today... How about you all? spill I have been away for a while and need some much needed communcation

Sounds like you had a good time on your vacation. A second visit to the Horse Park, even. ehehe Lets have a few pictures, please. Not much going on here. It is hot and hotter. This year the heat is really getting to me. I have a dog. He requires going for walks. I am doing that as early as possible to avoid as much of the heat has I can. I am also trying to not walk to much because of my Plantar Fasciitis. I am seeing a Podiatrist about it. Hope to have it cleared up or at least under control by February. Don't want it interfering with the vacation Red and I will be doing. Good to see your post! |

Yes we had a good time on vacation... Oh my gosh AE the horse park doesn't even look the same they have been doing some major construction for the 2010 equine games. In fact they had so much construction it was almost impossible to get around all the barricades infact the Man O'war statue was off limits due to the concrete being poured. The day we were there they had some jr horse shows and polo matches going on too. I was a little disappointed that my horsepark tour was a bit of a flop... oh well maybe in the spring we can go back. You got a dog... what's his name? What's the bred? got pictures? Where are you and red going this time?

I will resize some pictures of him when I first brought him home and I will take some pictures of him to show how much he has grown in such a short time. I
will let you try to figure out his breeding when you see the pictures. LOL
His name is Yiska. That is a Navajo word and it means, The night has passed. When he was probably about three months old, he wandered on to the back side of Linda and pete's property. Remember they are the friends that board my horses. He just showed up one day. It is all open range behind them with just a few scattered properties out there. We suspect that someone dumped him out there. Linda talked to the neighbors around her and no one knew anything about him. She left a note where everyone in the area picks up mail and no one responded. She has two very old dogs that can't fend of any young pups. Plus, he was always getting between her feet and laying in front of her when she would be moving the horses around. Not a good thing when you are leading horses, one on each side of you. ehehe So, I told her I would take him home when he was between four and five months old. He is now about six and a half months old. He is a big puppy. ehehe He sits on command now. But I still can't keep him from jumping on me. I will keep working on that. He is also old enough now to get neutered. That will be done very soon. LOL |

he is pretty.... oh and look at those paws!! You have a big dog on your hands, better get the jumping under control soon. lol
Is he a good guard dog or a I love everyone dog?

He loves everyone. But he has shown some reserve with one or two people around here. He doesn't attack, but if he is uncertain or apprehensive he does have
a soft low growl that he uses. Then he will take a step back from whom ever he is uncertain about. That is ok with me. I don't want him snapping or
attacking anyone unless they give him real reason to do so.

Well that's good.... Dogs are great but sometimes unpredictable. I love mine he is the bestest buddy. Although he barks at everything, everyone and hates
thunderstorms... oh my gosh!!!!

Hey there kiddo! Aren't you full of interesting news. So, are you pregnant yet? What, she said she has beau, so it's the logical next step right?
*grin* Nah, I'm proud for you kid, sounds like you're doing well.
All is well on my end and getting better every day. Though I am wondering how AE's dog is going to take to a cat lover like me, when growled at, I tend to growl back, ha! In answer to your question, AE and I are going to San Diego next year! I can't wait to see the zoo!

Well .... preggy is completely out of the realm of possiblity..lol
San Diego hmmm... well that sounds like a great trip. I want pictures!!!!! The puppy will be fine with you being a cat litter after of course he sniffes you wrinkled...lol All out of state vacations have been put on hold since I bought a new car. So Vancouver is so out of the question, they want me to go to chicago the third weekend of this month to the con but alas I just don't think I can swing it either. I have so much to do and just never enough time or money to do it. But I am hoping to go to canada next summer, still gotta get the passport.. which I keep getting yelled at for. At least with the canada trip I can drive to where I am going it's only 8hours.
